6. Select Default and Alternate Clauses The Clause Editor application is used to identify default and alternative clauses; mark alternative clauses with configuration options identifying when the clause should be used. |

7. Edit Clause Language The Clause Editor is also used to edit the clause language to identify document variables (such as names, dates and amounts); remove deal-specific language and ensure language consistency; and optionally create a set of defined terms. The process of editing the clause language may be performed directly in the Clause Editor, or the application can print the selected clauses to a separate document for attorney editing outside the Clause Editor. |
